Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Pending legal review. This text is the current in-app version (legal bundle 1.1, July 2026) reproduced for reference. It has not yet been reviewed for the website. Final wording must be approved by legal counsel before launch.

This Privacy Policy explains how Tribet collects and uses information.

1. Information we collect

Account information (email, username, profile details), content you post, usage data, and device identifiers for push notifications when enabled.

2. How we use information

To operate the service, personalize your experience, improve the product, send notifications you opt into, and maintain security.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with service providers (such as hosting and authentication) only as needed to operate Tribet.

4. Your choices

You may update profile information, control notification preferences, and delete your account from Profile Settings.

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

6. Children

Tribet is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18 (or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy and will reflect the latest version in the app.

8. This website

This website has no accounts and no login, and it sets no cookies. It stores up to three first-party entries in your browser’s local storage: your cookie-consent choice, your language choice and your confirmation of the age notice. These entries are never sent to a server. If the contact form is enabled, the name, email address and message you submit are sent to the form-delivery provider configured by the site operator and are used only to answer your message. If analytics are enabled, a cookieless, privacy-first analytics script loads only after you accept it in Cookie Settings. Fonts are self-hosted, so no request is made to third-party font servers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. For the app, use Profile Settings or the in-app support channels. For this website, write to us through the Contact page. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Controller and legal details

[To be completed by legal counsel: identity and contact details of the data controller, legal bases (GDPR), retention periods, international transfers and any CCPA/CPRA disclosures.]
